Client Onboarding Fee Refund Policy

Effective Date: July 18, 2025

At Steinwold & Co. LLC, an SEC-registered investment advisor (“RIA”), we are committed to delivering personalized and professional investment advisory services. To begin our engagement, new clients are required to pay a $1,000 onboarding fee, which covers the time, effort, and resources invested during the initial stages of the client relationship.  The onboarding fee may be waived entirely or partially at our sole discretion.

This onboarding fee supports:

  • Introductory strategy meetings

  • Development of your investment roadmap

  • Account creation and configuration

  • Compliance reviews and administrative setup, including third party costs

1. Non-Refundable Nature of the Fee

Once payment has been submitted and onboarding activities have started, the onboarding fee becomes non-refundable. This policy reflects the dedicated resources and planning we commit at the outset of every client relationship.

2. Limited Exceptions

Refunds may be granted in exceptional situations, evaluated individually, including but not limited to:

  • The client cancels the engagement within 48 hours of payment and before any onboarding services have commenced;

  • We are unable to move forward with the engagement due to regulatory, compliance, or suitability concerns;

  • A billing error results in an accidental overpayment or duplicate charge.

3. Client-Initiated Termination

If a client ends the relationship after onboarding has been completed, the onboarding fee remains non-refundable. This applies regardless of how long the client remains engaged with Steinwold & Co.

4. How to Request a Refund

Clients seeking a refund must:

  • Email ir@steinwold.com within 5 calendar days of payment; and

  • Include a brief but detailed explanation of the reason for the request

  • Each request will be reviewed within 3 business days. If approved, the refund will be processed within 5 business days to the original payment method.

By submitting the onboarding fee, you confirm your understanding and acceptance of this policy.
